$0 Goal

Brite Divinity School is committed to educating and inspiring individuals to serve God’s diverse world as leaders in churches, the academy, and public life. At Brite, we believe that everyone called to serve should have access to exceptional theological education—regardless of financial circumstances.

However, the cost of education can still present a significant barrier for many. Your support can help remove that barrier!

Thanks to gifts from donors like you, all master’s students at Brite currently receive full scholarships covering tuition and fees. With your gift to Brite scholarships, you continue to make this transformative education accessible to those who are ready to lead, serve, and make a difference in the world.

What Your Gift Can Do:

  • $24,000 (or $2,000/month for a year) covers a full year of tuition for one full-time student.
  • $12,000 (or $1,000/month for a year) funds one semester of tuition for a full-time student.
  • $3,000 (or $250/month for a year) provides tuition for one 3-hour course.
  • $1,000 (or $83.33/month for a year) covers a 1-hour class.
  • $750 (or $62.50/month for a year) supports one week of tuition.
  • $62.50 (or just $5.20/month for a year) funds one classroom session.

Equity Statement

Brite Divinity School is an institution that values diversity and challenges structures that intentionally or unintentionally encourage discrimination. As such, we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, social class, age, disability status, citizenship status, membership or application for membership in a uniformed service, or any other category protected by applicable law. Where there are discrepancies with Federal and State policies, they supersede Brite’s policies.

In this excerpt from his Lenten meditation, President Cady reminds us of Brite’s calling as a Christian institution.

“To be clear, we have non-Christian students (and faculty) from diverse faith backgrounds and no faith background at all. We welcome them not in spite of being Christian, but precisely because of it. In other words, our emphasis on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as an institution is not some fleeting response to the fickle winds of societal change, but rather our commitment to the fundamental call of the gospel, which is to love—not some people, but all people...

Will there be negative consequences for holding closely to our Christian commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion? Possibly. But to paraphrase Mark’s gospel, what does it profit an institution to gain the world and lose its soul?”
