The School serves approximately 120 students grades 5th through 12th, with a 6:1 student-to-faculty ratio. This is a significant differentiating factor of our school and allows for students to receive direct and personalized instruction. This is especially important for our classrooms, as instruction is centered not on simply learning or memorizing facts, but encouraging exploration, the development of critical thinking, and open dialogue. Cambridge instructors are master teachers, 9 of whom have their PhD, and 17 others have master's degrees in their areas of teaching. Faculty are scholars who are willing and committed to bringing their interest and expertise to the classroom and facilitating curiosity in their students. Small class size truly enables these master teachers to be highly engaged with students personally and academically, which is critical to the school's culture of encouraging thoughtful and challenging discussion.
Students complete their Cambridge education with an average of 6 AP courses. Highly selective universities accept Cambridge students every year.
The Cambridge School of Dallas is a Christ-centered, classical, college preparatory school committed to the mission of Academic Discipleship: Fostering a Love of Learning With a Passion for Jesus Christ. The aim is to equip students to know Christ with their minds, to love Him with their hearts, and to serve Him with their lives.
Each year approximately 30% of our student body receives some form of financial aid. We believe that education of the highest quality should be available to all, regardless of their socioeconomic status. That being said, we must raise the full amount of financial aid we offer.
Scripture makes clear that the creative and redemptive purposes of God are sweeping and rich in diversity. His purposes culminate in a multitude from "every nation and tribe and people and tongue" (Rev. 5:9; 7:9). The Bible also makes clear that we are to extend the love of God to all persons, to every nation, tribe, people and tongue.
From its inception, The Cambridge School of Dallas has recognized that the world in which we live is diverse in language, race and background, and has purposed to create an educational environment whereby students and faculty of all backgrounds engage with one another in the pursuit of academic excellence and service. We actively seek to make the educational opportunities of our school available and accessible to all who desire scholastic excellence in a liberal arts education.
The Cambridge School of Dallas is committed to a particular educational mission and philosophy. At the same time, we are committed to the strength of diversity around this common mission. We believe that a diverse student body, faculty and staff enrich the educational environment.
