Concert Bells of Fort Worth

Concert Bells of Fort Worth is an auditioned community handbell ensemble privileged to share unique repertoire across DFW and beyond, both to seek new audiences and share the joy of ringing handbells. Community education and enrichment through handbell musicianship is the focus of our biyearly concert seasons. We are active in the national guild organization Handbell Musicians of America and boast ringers who are well-known clinicians, ringers, and composers within the handbell community!

Our Needs

Last year we celebrated our 25th anniversary in a big way--premiering two commissioned pieces and an arrangement of Leroy Anderson's "The Girl I Left Behind Me" by charter member Carol Lynn MIzell. We concluded the year with a celebratory concert and reception in May, with former ringers and our first conductor, Beth Judd, in attendance.

During the last few North Texas Giving Days, we requested donations to purchase big bass bells, chimes, Silver Melody Bells, and other equipment. Now, we barely have space to store it all!

This year, our request is simple: help us continue to bring artistic handbell performances to our North Texas community (and beyond). Our annual budget is small compared to most non-profits, especially arts organizations, yet approximately 70% of our income is from donors like you.

Because of your support, we can bring the beauty and joy of music to hundreds of people throughout the year. As one woman said after our last Christmas concert, "I look forward to your Christmas concert every year, and I'm Jewish!"
