The Central Arts mission is to create a space where art lives and grows, providing opportunities to the community through art related events.
Our four pillars are:
1. Artist Development: Through prolific artist exhibition, and opportunities for artist visibility we strengthen, and nurture artist careers. This is our first pillar, because we believe that by encouraging artists careers, we simultaneously create strong community leaders.
2. Affordable Education to the Community: Our artist program costs are kept to the very minimum that we can provide them at monetarily. There are always scholarship , and financial aid available to anyone looking to participate in our programming.
3. Community Outreach: Central Arts brings art to the community where it identifies a need, or it asked to by the community itself. This is includes not only bringing artistic activity into the community, but also beautification efforts, and public art.
4. Economic Development: Not only a belief, but conscious effort put into the activity of the first three pillars combined to strengthen the economy of the community/communities that we seeks to serve.
Currently seeking general funding to support staff and programming focused on after school and summer youth outreach programs.

The past year has taught us what must change to continue meeting the demands of future challenges. Central Arts officially moved to a new location in Bedford to help address the demand for increased space to provide services that meet the needs of the community. Our greatest needs to help us be successful in our new home are cash donations, food donations, and volunteers! Keeping our larger food pantry well-stocked with items and volunteers is our top priority right now to ensure no family goes hungry.
On an ongoing basis, the needs for Central Arts include but are not limited to: food, clothing, and financial donations for the provision of programs. Food will be directed toward our growing food pantry, especially as we continue to extend our outreach. We need art supplies and help to keep our community healthy and happy in the upcoming year.
We have also infiltrated the Just Ripe spot in Hurst with our sister nonprofit Awareness Project to create a multi-use space with a cafe, food pantry, recording studio, stage, and community outreach program. Covid and construction costs have delayed this project by almost a year, but were finally open!
Central Arts Bedford helped save the Trinity Arts Guild by giving them a low-cost home. We also host the Mid-cities Symphony for their rehearsals and are in need of a better sound system. Rent and utilities are a great need over there, so any financial assistance is appreciated.
Central arts Hurst is going strong, but we do need to upgrade some of the facilities as there are a lot of things that just simply need replacing and upgrading.
Richardson Arts Network is our new program at Network of Community Ministries which is our new home away from Tarrant County. We always need volunteers and supplies over there. We Love them!
Finally, Central Fridge is our open-air food pantry that is completely anonymous. Donations are left at the pantry and in the refrigerator where patrons are allowed to take what they need without even needing to speak to anyone. This Central Fridge is a great boon to the residents of Hurst that tend to fly under the radar of most food programs. A wonderful group of ladies makes package lunches and dinners for people in need. We can always use food, food containers, and other supplies. Keeping a refrigerator outdoors tends to wear them out quickly and we are currently on our third one. If you would like to make meals, we are always down for that!
