The Children's Chorus of Collin County is an auditioned, tuition-based non-profit organization entering its 18th season. The Chorus is comprised of around 100 3rd-12th grade singers from cities throughout the Metroplex, who perform in three age-group Choruses. These Chorus members exhibit good vocal skills, enthusiasm for choral performance, and a desire for excellence.
The Chorus's goal is to create strong foundations of musical excellence by selecting literature that will challenge the singer musically while broadening their musical repertoire. Music is selected to reflect the various cultures and backgrounds of members of the chorus and community, to spark conversation and create harmonious learning experiences.
The Chorus has showcased its versatility and musicianship in local, state, national, and international venues, including The Meyerson Symphony Center, The Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts, Moody Performance Hall, Nokia Theater, New York's Carnegie Hall, London's Southwark Cathedral, and England's Canterbury Cathedral.
