As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely on the generosity of supporters like you to continue our mission. With your help, we’re on the brink of a historic milestone—10,000 adoptions! Your donation today saves lives and secures the future of Cody's Friends Rescue.

Every week, countless wonderful dogs face tragic ends in local shelters or perish on the streets. Many people are unaware of the incredible variety of dogs available for adoption in their own neighborhood shelters—every size, age, breed, and temperament is out there, just waiting for a loving home. At Cody’s Friends Rescue, we work tirelessly to save as many of these dogs as possible. But it’s a never-ending challenge, made harder by irresponsible breeding practices, puppy mills, and uneducated owners who contribute to the overpopulation crisis by selling unhealthy animals. To continue our mission, we need your support more than ever. Your donations help cover essential expenses like routine and emergency medical care, food and supplies, heartworm prevention and treatment, training, transport, and so much more.

WHY DONATE TO CODY'S FRIENDS RESCUE:

Your contribution goes beyond just supporting a rescue; it helps create a brighter future for countless dogs in need. By supporting us, you’re providing these animals with a second chance at life, offering them not just shelter, but the love and care they deserve. Join us in making a difference that extends far beyond this one day. Your donation is not just support; it’s a lifeline.

100% of funds raised on North Texas Giving Day will go directly toward these life-saving initiatives.

WHO IS CODY?

Tina Austin, the Founder & President of Cody’s Friends Rescue, brought home her first pet as a young adult—a 5-week-old Shih Tzu puppy named Cody. Unaware of the cruel realities of puppy mills, Tina was heartbroken to learn that Cody had to fight for his life during those early months, leaving his little body weakened. Despite his challenges, Cody was showered with love, and together, they shared eight wonderful years.

Inspired by Cody’s resilience and the love they shared, Tina became passionate about rescuing dogs and began working with other rescue groups. In Cody’s honor, she founded Cody’s Friends Rescue, which has grown and thrived over the years, saving countless dogs in need.

OUR GOALS

- Help homeless, unwanted, neglected, and abused dogs find loving, forever homes.

- Raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering—for the health of the dog and to control overpopulation.

- Educate the public about the realities of shelters and the many wonderful dogs that are euthanized due to lack of space.

We are dedicated to giving these dogs the second chance they deserve by rehabilitating them physically and emotionally and finding them loving forever homes, no matter the cost or effort. It’s a labor of love, and we’ve been blessed in our efforts thanks to the incredible support of people like you.

Rescuing animals and improving their lives come with significant financial challenges. We rely entirely on community donations to care for the dogs currently awaiting their forever homes. Your contribution on North Texas Giving Day allows us to continue making North Texas a more compassionate and loving place for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages.
