Opened in August 2015 in Pleasant Grove, CRD is a proud member of the national Cristo Rey Network, which for nearly thirty years has served students throughout the US. Today, CRD provides nearly 500 students with a high-quality, affordable, college preparatory education. Through CRD's rigorous curriculum, integrated with hands-on professional work study placements and wraparound services, students graduate ready to succeed in college and in life. The signature component of CRD is the Corporate Work Study Program, through which students work one day each week at top Dallas companies, including Children's Health, Goldman Sachs, Jones Day, KPMG, Southwest Airlines,  and Vistra Corp. The program not only provides valuable work experience, but allows students to earn almost 60% of their Cristo Rey tuition. In a typical year, students will earn about $4 million toward the cost of their education through their work study jobs. Cristo Rey Dallas also provides an academically demanding classroom experience focused on preparing students to excel in a university environment. In addition, every CRD student benefits from extensive wraparound supports that include a dedicated college guidance department, a student life office that facilitates retreats and other engagement activities, nutrition assistance services, and comprehensive mental health care.
