The mission of The DAWG Project is to save the lives of Dallas dogs through collaboration with shelters and the community, and to facilitate the movement of Dallas toward becoming a no-kill community.

We achieve our mission by implementing and managing three simple programs: Fawster DAWG, Adopt-A-DAWG and Lucky DAWG — building a foster network, finding homes for adoptable dogs, and helping  people keep their pets.

Get involved today by making a donation, connecting with us on social media, volunteering with us, fostering one of our wonderful dogs, or adopting a loving dog and helping them find their forever home. You are an integral part of helping us save the lives of Dallas dogs!

Mission

The Mission of Dallas Animal Welfare Group. The DAWG Project is to save the lives of at- risk pets, by pulling them from animal shelters or accepting them from owners who have to surrender, to find adopters; and by helping people keep their pets. We provide food, beds, training, and temporary housing to help people in crisis retain ownership of their pets.

We pull at- risk dogs from municipal shelters and take owner surrenders, to find them new forever homes.

Needs

We always need crates, treats and toys, and funds for vetting and training. Vetting is our biggest expense.

Fosters are always needed, to take dogs into their

home until the dog is adopted. We provide food, crates, vetting, toys and training.
