A nonprofit organization

We have featured more than 300 musicians of multiple genres in a professionally staged and produced live stream show throughout the pandemic. We have also provided performance video assets for songwriters for use on their websites and social media pages. Depending on the needs of the artist, this has included videos of performances, professional photography, live interviews, promotion on our social media platforms, professional backup bands, and song arrangements. We have also connected musicians to a vast network of talent in the local music industry including producers, arrangers, instrumentalists, sound engineers, graphic designers, LED visualists, lighting designers, and film production. This has been accomplished at no charge regardless of the age or income of the artist.

Performance videos are a key need for artists to obtain venue bookings, connect to their followers and find new audiences. The Dallas Music Network Show, and resulting video assets, have helped new songwriters get their songs heard and enabled the community to discover new music. This has helped artists book gigs and in one case even helped an artist obtain a record deal with a major label. In addition, during the pandemic, we have been able to keep live music happening virtually.

Our Needs

To continue the work of supporting the dreams of North Texas independent artists of all ages and genres, Dallas Music Network must meet our yearly operating budget. The operating budget covers the cost of equipment rental and a wide range of expertise in the local music and film industry. Meeting this goal enables Dallas Music Network to help make the Dallas area a go-to place to live and work in the vast network of supporting jobs in the music industry.
