DCMHMR offers a range of services to best fit the need of that client. Some of the services we provide are Case Management, YES Waiver Program, PASRR, TCOOMMI, Guardianship Program, Connections Program, LOSS Team, Crisis Residential Unit, and Psychiatric Triage.
DCMHMR is dedicating this year's NTGD Event to the LOSS Program. LOSS stands for Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors. Denton County LOSS Team consists of approximately 22 volunteers, that have either lost a loved one to suicide or are Qualified Mental Health Professionals, who are passionate about postvention work. LOSS Team was brought to Denton County MHMR in 2015 and works closely with the Medical Examiner’s office to respond appropriately to suicides in Denton County. LOSS volunteers provide on-scene support, delayed visits, and free resources to all suicide survivors that we encounter. LOSS Team actively follows up with each suicide survivor for up to a year after the suicide. Since its’ establishment, LOSS volunteers have assisted approximately 1,866 individuals through suicide grief – this does not include community outreach aid to businesses, schools, and churches.
