Since 1995, the Denton Public School Foundation has awarded over $1.2 million in student scholarships and over $3,000,000 in grants to teachers, staff scholarships, funding for innovative classroom initiatives, and other Foundation programs. In the 2025 school year, DPSF awarded $138,391 in teacher and school-wide grants to 101 teachers; $17,499 in staff scholarships to 20 recipients, and $300,430 in scholarships to 231 graduating seniors.
Our Needs
The Denton Public School Foundation creates opportunities for students, staff, and teachers. We invest in teaching materials and experiences that are not funded by other Denton ISD monies as well as awarding scholarships for teachers, staff and graduating seniors. Currently, we are seeking funds to go towards these efforts, as well as helping to grow DPSF's capabilities to meet even more of these needs. In 2025, while we were successful in awarding funding to 141 teachers and staff and 231 graduating seniors, we had applications from 191 teachers and staff and just under 600 seniors, leaving many unfunded. Our goal is to raise funds to give a greater percentage of awards to both groups.
The Denton Public School Foundation is also in need of volunteers to assist with its fundraising initiatives and outreach, key elements in achieving our overall goals more successfully.
