Established in 1981, Dooley Elementary School is a Title I school located at the edge of Bob Woodruff Park in East Plano, Texas. Our AVID campus is highly rated for its diversity and has a well-earned reputation for utilizing collaborative learning models to nurture a growth mindset in students. Dooley Dragons are taught to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn—and we are quite proud of the fact that four of our current staff members are former Dooley Dragons!
At Dooley Elementary PTA, we take our mission to enrich the educational experience of the children at our school very seriously. We build partnerships within our community, sponsor everything from field trips to special programs to family activities, and raise money for a Capital Gift fund to purchase big-impact items that benefit the entire student body. Our PTA has been recognized for meeting membership targets and actively facilitating a strong, supportive environment where students can thrive.

At Dooley Elementary PTA, our mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in our school, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting our children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and community involvement in not only our school, but in the public schools of this nation.
In order to support the educational experience of our students, we are kindly asking you to consider making us a part of your North Texas Giving Day. Like many other schools, we have faced a lot of recent challenges due to the pandemic, but this year we are READY! We are ready to say YES to our students, YES to our teachers, and YES to all of the parents in our membership body who approach us and say "I have a cool idea about this thing we can do!"
As we kick off this new school year, we are asking you, our community, to help us fulfill our mission. We want each and every student who walks through our halls to feel a warm sense of belonging. Does that mean more STEAM kits? YES! Does that mean buying t-shirts for every single student on Field Day so that they can wear our school shirt with pride? YOU BET! And does that mean making sure our teachers have the supplies they need to work their classroom magic? YOU KNOW IT!
