Needs
DHP serves communities impacted by trauma, particularly minority families who often face systemic barriers to emotional, financial, and mental well-being. With increasing rates of family violence, economic hardships, and educational disparities, our programs aim to bridge these gaps.
To continue meeting the growing needs of our community, DHP requires $75,000 annually to support our key programs:
- Educational Scholarship Program: Currently providing $4,250 in scholarships, we seek to increase this amount to $20,000 annually to help more students break down financial barriers to higher education.
- Youth Literacy Program: To expand our literacy outreach and educational materials, we require an additional $20,000 to ensure that all children in our program have access to engaging, high-quality learning resources.
- Family Pantry & Supplies Program: With the rising demand for food and essential supplies, we aim to raise $15,000 to serve over 300 families with critical support throughout the year.
These investments will allow DHP to continue providing essential services and empower families to heal, grow, and succeed. Ongoing funding is critical to expand our programs and further our mission of uplifting survivors of family violence and ensuring a brighter future for all.
