DreamSpring

A nonprofit organization

Since taking root in Texas in 2015, DreamSpring has provided nearly 8,500 loans totaling almost $70 million to some 6,400 small businesses in 625 communities across the state. DreamSpring's work is creating tangible economic impact in Texas, with an estimated 12,800 jobs created or sustained by small and micro businesses that have accessed capital and resources through DreamSpring.

Addressing the needs of underserved entrepreneurs in Texas and 26 other states, DreamSpring is a pace-setting nonprofit microlender with a reputation for innovation, accountability, and impact. We are ranked as one of the top five microlenders in the U.S., carry a Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency, and have received 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator consistently since 2012 — placing our organization in the top 3% of rated nonprofits. DreamSpring is certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury as a Community Development Financial Institution.

Our Needs

DreamSpring provides loans between $500 and $2 million to entrepreneurs who face barriers to securing business credit from traditional financial institutions. DreamSpring also offers training opportunities, financial health literacy and other support services  — in English and in Spanish — to those who want to start or expand a small business.

With your support, DreamSpring will continue to reach underserved entrepreneurs and deliver one-on-one financial education and business technical assistance to hundreds of Texas entrepreneurs. Through this work, DreamSpring will increase access to much-needed affordable business credit, along with complimentary pre- and post-loan support to help entrepreneurs successfully grow their businesses and build vibrant local economies.

Small businesses are the heart of local economies — creating jobs, and increasing entrepreneurs' financial independence and security. During 2023, 93% of DreamSpring's clients were low-to-moderate-income, people of color, veteran, start-up or female borrowers. DreamSpring's clients are hardworking individuals who have chosen business ownership as a means to create jobs, provide for their families, and give back to the community. With your support as a DreamMaker, they are achieving their small business dreams and vitalizing their communities for generations to come.
