Our passion is showing our veterans and first responders that their strengths lie within their struggles. PTSD is not an absolute and it is not a life sentence. Growth is possible and worth working for.

A suicide epidemic claims the lives of more than 22 veterans & first responders every day, with millions of combat veterans and first responders living lives filled with despair, battling posttraumatic stress, anxiety, and depression. We believe training individuals in the principles of posttraumatic growth will lead to an increased quality of life.

The Eagle Oak Retreat offers programs that use the proven science of Posttraumatic Growth to heal, train, and advocate for combat veterans, first responders, and their families who have experienced trauma. We deliver transformative programs developed by our partners, the Boulder Crest Foundation, to ensure these remarkable men and women transform struggle into strength and lifelong growth, so they can live the great lives they deserve. We strive to improve outcomes for veterans and first responders through training that teaches individuals how to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

Mission

Our Mission is to provide combat veterans and first responders with the skills necessary to overcome traumatic stress experienced as a result of their service to our country.

Needs

The urgent need is to offer posttraumatic growth programs that train our veterans to thrive rather than survive and to enable these remarkable men and women to transform times of deep struggle into profound strength and growth.

Over 1.5 million veterans call Texas home. Eagle Oak Retreat's urgent need is to receive monetary donations and in-kind donations of construction materials, furnishings, and recreational equipment so we can build a wellness retreat that offers posttraumatic growth programs and begin addressing the growing suicide epidemic among this community of heroes.
