EASL has helped many working artists, both emerging and established, with medical bills, studio floods, cancer treatment and housing. We are a very unique and important organization dedicated to emergency assistance to those in need. Our mission is to be there for these individuals when they require support, so they can continue to share their talents with our community!
In order to serve artists and art professionals effectively, EASL relies on generous donations from the public. To make sure our funds are available to those in need, all of our Board positions are 100% volunteer-based.
The Dallas Foundation (TDF) is the fiscal sponsor of the EASL Fund, a component fund of The Dallas Foundation, a 501(c)(3) publicly supported charity, Federal Tax ID 75-2890371. Donations to the EASL fund can be made through the EASL website or via TDF's website. All donations to the EASL fund are tax deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The Emergency Artists' Support League was founded in 1992 to offer monetary grants to North Texas visual artists and arts professionals in need. Grants are distributed for a medical crisis, studio damage or other emergencies. Grant applications are reviewed and approved by the 100% volunteer Board of Directors.
As the EASL name reaches new pockets of our artist community, we have seen an increasing number of grant applications each year. With greater exposure, it is essential we grow our donor base to match. All donations will go to the EASL fund at The Dallas Foundation enabling us to continue to provide grants to artists in need.
