Needs
We humbly request support for the growth of the All Pro Dad Chapters (APDC) program in North Texas and for the following initiatives:
1. Expand All Pro Dad Chapters in all elementary, middle and/or high schools in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Johnson, Kaufman, Rockwall Tarrant and other surrounding counties.
2. Host an All Pro Dad Experience in North Texas in 2023-2024! We plan to hold our large-scale event where hundreds of dads, mentors, and kids come together at an NCAA and/or NFL stadium to enjoy and share a meaningful experience together. Previous events have been held at AT&T Stadium & TCU.
3. Connect and collaborate with local leaders. Our staff will continue to work with independent school districts and individual school leadership to inform them of the benefits of having an All Pro Dad chapter in their schools, as well as partner with schools in identifying team captains to facilitate their chapter meetings.
4. Conduct a program awareness media campaign. We will produce and use radio, TV, billboard public service announcements and digital media ads to reach the community and expand new chapters.
5. Enhance our All Pro Dad Chapters program with “craveable content” and meaningful videos that are necessary to capture the hearts and minds of the next generation. We will substantially improve our All Pro Dad Chapters curriculum, videos and collateral materials. Our curriculum allows dads and kids to engage in meaningful conversations and activities centered on character-based topics. Each curriculum year covers 10 character traits that dads and kids can discuss through group and one-on-one questions and includes a take-home resource that reinforces the topic throughout the month until the next meeting. Topics have included initiative, positivity, loyalty, perseverance, honesty, leadership, integrity, generosity, and service.
Our focus is to make our APDC school program better and increase the number of school chapters in North Texas specifically so we can reach thousands more dads, kids and families with practical advice and resources to help them love their families well. By getting dads on campus, we are improving a child’s engagement at school, which then helps improve early childhood development, education, and behavior.
Additionally, as we concentrate on Title 1 schools within counties across North Texas, we plan to see more parental involvement in those schools, which school officials and principals enthusiastically welcome.
