$250,000 Goal

Since 1982, inspired by the vision of our founders Jo Curtis, Kathryn Walt Hall, Lorraine Griffin Kircher, and Liz Minyard, the North Texas Food Bank has been rooted in the belief that hunger in North Texas can be eradicated. Our history tells a compelling story - from distributing 400,000 pounds of food annually to now more than double that weekly. Yet, hunger remains a pressing concern. Today, over 800,000 adults, children, and senior adults face the heart-wrenching dilemma of choosing between food, rent, medication, and other necessities. The face of hunger has changed, but our determination has not.

In North Texas, where one in four children are uncertain about their next meal, our mission is bigger than just providing food. We're about nourishing potential and futures. Through our state-of-the-art 230,000 square foot distribution facility in Plano, the Perot Family Campus, and our network of over 200 partners, we managed to offer nearly 72 million meals last year alone. But our vision is even more ambitious - providing 92 million meals annually by 2025.

While our campaigns and fundraising endeavors have paved a path towards this goal, the challenge of sustaining this effort remains. This is where our new initiative, the Feeding North Texas Foundation, steps in. Designed as an endowment fund, this foundation promises to be a permanent pillar of support. Earnings from this foundation could fund key operations like our 25-truck fleet maintenance, our school pantry program, essential technology, and even up to one million meals, based on our current metrics.

Investing in the Feeding North Texas Foundation is an investment in the next generation. When you contribute, you're not just addressing today's hunger, you're cementing our capacity to serve nutritious meals indefinitely. Imagine, with your help, we can fulfill the promise of our founders, ensuring that every North Texan has access to healthy meals, not just today or tomorrow, but forever.

Your gift goes beyond a one-time donation. It becomes part of a legacy, empowering us to fight hunger and feed potential for countless generations. This North Texas Giving Day let's make a lasting impact. Feed the future. Nurture hope. Invest in the Feeding North Texas Foundation.
