Fin Press Publications began as a passion project in 2013. As educators, we realized that there were too few entities that would risk publishing the work of creators under the age of eighteen. With very little experience and a lot of help from Ron Glaser, Fin Press was brought into existence. Our goal was simple: we wanted to legitimately publish the work of as many young people as we could. We saw the potential and the power that lived within our students every day, and knew that with some encouragement, their work could change the lives of others like it had ours.
Through a long learning process, we transitioned into a nonprofit so that we could bring the cost of books down as low as possible for all students who publish their work with us. Our hope is that with donations we can provide every writer or artist with a contributor copy of their work in print. That magical feeling that you get when you see a physical copy of your work with an ISBN, when you get to touch and smell the paper, when you see your name in ink is what we are after for any young person who has the desire to create and share their work with the world.
Though we are willing to publish work from people all over the world, the bulk live here in North Texas. We have several programs and schools that we partner with in Denton, Texas but have also branched out to Prosper, Mckinney, Plano, and other surrounding towns.
To date, we have published 47 books filled with the work of 3,334 young creators. Though we publish a diverse group of books, you can see three of our larger projects in detail below. Please reach out to info@finpresspublications.com with any and all questions. Thank you so very much for your time and your consideration.
Fin Press Publications is a non-profit dedicated to publishing the work of young adults fearless enough to create.
Here at the beginning of our nonprofit journey, monetary donations will provide the most impact in the lives of the young creators that we publish. Most books cost anywhere from 5 - 15 dollars to print. Donations of any size can be put to good use.
Fin Press Publications believes that every human has the right to create and share their work with others. We are dedicated to being the platform on which voices that otherwise might not be heard are amplified.
