The SONshine Center is a day center for adults with special needs that opened in August, 2015. Our program gives our students a loving, fun, and educational environment in which they can socialize and be around peers. We currently serve 120 AllSTARS (SUPER TALENTED AWESOME RADIANT STUDENTS) and have been contacted by many more families wishing to place their adult child with us.
Our Needs
This year we are in need of donations for our Special Activity Fund. This fund helps provides a variety of special activities that our AllSTARS are able to participate in each month. Activities include Music Therapy, Dance Class, Bubble Truck, Kona Ice Truck, Christmas Program, Picnics, Outdoor Games, Spirit Week, and Field Trips. We recently began taking our AllSTARS on off-site community field trips and they are loving it! We are hoping to be able to offer a variety of fun and exciting field trips while keeping the cost for our AllSTAR families to a minimum.
