The Fort Worth Foster Closet exists to provide resources and support to foster, kinship, and adoptive families in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We walk alongside foster, kinship, and adoptive families as well as reunifying families, case workers, CASA, youth aging out of the foster care system, and many local nonprofits and organizations.
Our Resource Store located in Fort Worth is home to clothing ranging from newborn to adult sizes, shoes, furniture, diapers, toys, and so much more! All individuals that we serve are given the option to shop in-store, pick up pre-packed bags, or get pre-packed bags delivered to their homes.
Along with our Resource Store, we provide children and families with FREE enrichment opportunities within our community. The Fort Worth Foster Closet partners will many local businesses and organizations so that youth experiencing the foster care system can explore and embrace hands-on activities. Our enrichment opportunities include trips to local museums and entertainment activities.
We would LOVE for you to get involved in our mission to support ALL individuals experiencing the child welfare system. The different ways can you can get involved include the following:
- Community Donor: Our community donors are individuals that feel led to support youth in our community. Donations from community donors allow us to lease and maintain our Resource Store as well as meet the individual needs of each child and family that walks through our doors.
- Host a Drive: Are you a part of a school, company, or organization that wants to directly impact the lives of foster, kinship, and adoptive families in our community? Host a donation drive with The Fort Worth Foster Closet and show your support for foster families in DFW.
- Corporate Partner: FWFC Corporate Partners allow us to host different events and uphold the highest quality services for children and families in our community.
