Some might call it North Texas Giving Day, but for us – it is Dragon Giving Day! At Imagine International Academy of North Texas, September 19th is the kick-off for this year’s Dragon Annual Fund Campaign. After 13 years in operation as
an IB Continuum Charter School, we are proud to see our students becoming lifelong learners who exemplify reflective and caring approaches to action and learning. It is through this call to be principled IB thinkers that the duty to give back to the academic community is embraced by all Dragon families. For Dragon Giving Day, we look forward to continuing this legacy through future generations of Imagine-educated International Baccalaureate graduates and ask for your support as our school continues to grow.
The Dragon Annual Fund is your way of supporting future leaders who make a difference in their local and global communities. Developing a strong foundation of academic achievement, Imagine International Academy of North Texas cultivates internationally-minded students through the rigorous and dynamic International Baccalaureate continuum in grades K through 12. Together, our students and teachers are compassionate, creative and courageous in their commitment to academic growth and community service. It is this commitment that pushes Imagine International Academy of North Texas to advocate for the needs of our IB students and faculty. The Dragon Annual Fund is one way you can help.
As a public, nonprofit charter school, our school receives roughly $4,000 less per student in comparison to the funding received by our neighboring ISD’s. This funding gap is a significant amount when multiplied by our over 1,400 students currently enrolled. While the school is financially stable and creatively maximizes our funding to serve the needs of our IB students, we can always do more.
Your gift makes an impact.
The flexibility of this fund allows us to create new opportunities for our student body, provide resources and facilities to encourage growth, be responsive to emergent expenses, and supplement the needs of teachers and classrooms.
Our teachers are the ones who most clearly experience this by prioritizing the importance of the IB experience and the unique academic environment over competitive salaries. Along with the other areas of conservative budgeting, our school community believes in rewarding quality IB teaching, which will keep excellence at the forefront by providing retention stipends to our faculty.
Despite the obstacles, it is in the nature of every IB student to find innovation in adversity and transformation in the face of the status quo. It is with this in mind that the Dragon Annual Fund has a plan.
