Mission

The Friends of the Aledo Public Library is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to encourage gifts, endowments and bequests for the benefit of the library; to support the staff with programs, activities, books and equipment not provided by town appropriations and to focus public attention on the library.

Needs

The Friend's Group is seeking donations to support new programs at the Aledo Public Library such as Beginner and Intermediate Mah Jong; a community stitching program entitled Common Threads; children's maker space programming and support of the BAT program. BAT stands for Bring Aledo Together, a program matching High School clubs with children's events.

Equity Statement

The Friends of the Aledo Public Library recognize that each person is unique with different needs. We strive to help the library provide programs and materials to help everyone with what they need to succeed. Everyone belongs at the Aledo Public Library.
