The SoPac Trail is a vital connector to The LOOP – the 50-mile urban trail that links Dallas. When it comes to bringing people closer to nature, improving the trail, and making the experience a breath of fresh air for walkers, runners, and cyclists, Friends of the SoPac Trail are all in.

Giving Activity

Mission

Friends of the SoPac Trail is a not-for-profit organization of individuals and neighborhood associations committed to initiating and supporting projects that improve the SoPac Trail.

Needs

We’ve got an ambitious list of projects that will enhance the trail further. We get things done on a small budget. With your help, we can accomplish a lot, such as:

• Adding irrigation and planting more trees to create more shade along the trail, as well as another seating area

• Adding location signs to bridge overpasses

• Continuing graffiti paint-overs

• Pruning, weeding, fertilizing the Pollinator Garden and trees around the Respite Area

• Hosting our 3rd annual Neighborhood Garden Drop-By

Equity Statement

Our support of the SoPac Trail and collaboration with other trail groups brings equitable access to the Dallas trail system. As much as the SoPac Trail is a vital link to the city geographically, it’s vital to our health too. Being surrounded by nature, spending more time in motion, supporting our fragile ecosystem, and collaborating with the community are all part of our efforts. Join us in supporting the greater good.
