Friends of WRR is raising money to support WRR’s transition to new management under KERA. We remain committed to giving North Texans the beauty of classical music through free broadcasts.
Friends of WRR is committed to keeping classical music alive in North Texas. We support 101.1 WRR-FM as a city-owned, independent arts voice and free source of classical music for everyone. We support by sponsoring commercial-free broadcasts, buying needed equipment, and enhancing programming.
Friends of WRR funds scholarships for deserving area students studying music in college. We also support music education in our public schools by running a year-round instrument drive.
