Dogs for Better Lives’ (DBL) mission is to professionally train dogs to help people and enhance lives while maintaining a lifelong commitment to all dogs we rescue or breed and the people we serve. Headquartered in Central Point, OR, DBL acquires, trains and places Service Dogs nationally (including Texas), all at no cost to our clients. In addition to working with purpose-bred dogs, DBL also works with shelter dogs. In 2023, DBL launched its From Shelter to Service Dog Program in Carrollton, TX, working in partnership with Operation Kindness.

Needs

Dogs for Better Lives (DBL) needs general donations to support of its From Shelter to Service Dog Program, covering the overall costs of dog evaluation, training, housing, transportation, and placement of its shelter dogs foster raisers. Once a shelter dog is certified (6-8 months), there are additional costs with placement and follow-ups (1, 4, and 7-yrs).
