Founded in 2011, G.O.L.F. 3:16 is much more than a sports program for youth, and transcends sports by teaching: Faith, SelfDiscipline,
Respect, Servanthood, Accountability, Integrity, and Forgiveness. G.O.L.F. 3:16 is a "positive" support system that
provides tools, resources, and information coordinated and supervised through volunteers and a Board of Directors who are
committed to providing a safe environment in the community where youth can participate in quality educational, recreational,
spiritual, and cultural activities. Each year there's a (7) week golf program, on Sunday afternoons, with golf instruction provided
by adult coaches/mentors. Program topics include: Week 1: Respect, Week 2: Faith, Week 3: Integrity, Week 4: Servanthood,
Week 5: Accountability, Week 6: Self-Discipline, Week 7: Forgiveness. Participating youth are honored at an Awards Banquet
and they participate in monthly community service projects including preparing meals for homeless families.
Our Needs
We are in need of financial resources and volunteers to increase our reach and impact in the Collin and Denton County area. G.O.L.F. 3:16 respectfully requests $5,500 in general operating support to provide at-risk youth access to golf facilities, golf equipment, and advanced skill training via a STEM learning program that will empower them with knowledge of how science, technology, engineering, and math are used to advance the game of golf. Exposure to this unique, learning opportunity is in alignment with G.O.L.F. 3:16's goal to provide educational services to at-risk youth and their families in an effort to enrich, improve, and empower their social, emotional and character development.
