Girl Scouts bring their dreams to life and work together to build a better world. Through programs throughout north and west Texas and the Oklahoma panhandle, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends. Backed by trusted adult volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts lead the way as they find their voices and make changes that affect the issues most important to them. Girls Rule. But did you know . . .

  • 59 million American women alive today participated in Girl Scouts growing up
  • Virtually every female astronaut who’s flown in space was a Girl Scout
  • 76% of female U.S. senators are Girl Scout alums
  • 52% of women serving in the U.S. House of Representatives were Girl Scouts
  • Every female Secretary of State is a Girl Scout alum

Together, we are helping girls unleash their potential and build their future.

Equity Statement

Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains and our Girl Scouts of the USA sisterhood stand for all to ensure inclusion, diversity, equity, and access as we equip girls with courage, confidence, and character. We believe racism and hate have no place here, as Girl Scouts is a place for all girls to belong.

We can acknowledge that we don’t always have the answers, but as Girl Scouts, we must ensure that we are present for all our girls and volunteers. We must ensure that we continue to build women leaders who are prepared to lead their communities, especially in times of crisis. Let our actions speak louder than words. A pivotal part of Girl Scouting is teaching and helping girls, as well as volunteers, to Take Action to make the world a better place.
