🌿 Rooted in Community. Growing the Movement.

The NTx School Garden Network is fueling the school garden movement by supporting the educators who make it all possible. We equip teachers and garden leaders with the tools, training, and connections they need to turn schoolyards into thriving, hands-on learning environments.

Through strategic partnerships, resource sharing, and regional collaboration, we’re building more than gardens—we’re building a supportive ecosystem where ideas flourish and communities grow stronger. Our work ensures that students across North Texas experience the joy of digging into science, health, and sustainability—right outside their classroom doors.

Together, we’re cultivating a future where every child can grow, learn, and thrive through the power of school gardens.

Mission

🌿 Growing Gardens. Growing Communities.

Across North Texas, we’re transforming schoolyards into powerful spaces for learning, growth, and connection. By cultivating vibrant, sustainable school gardens, we’re not only growing vegetables—we’re growing healthier students, stronger communities, and lifelong stewards of the environment.

Through hands-on garden-based learning, we empower educators to bring lessons to life, promote wellness, and nurture curiosity. With the right tools, resources, and a supportive network, passionate school leaders can turn inspiration into action—and action into lasting impact.

Together, we’re planting the seeds of curiosity, responsibility, and resilience—one garden, one student, one school at a time.

Needs

🌱 Help Us Grow Garden Leaders Where They're Needed Most 🌱

This February, we have an incredible opportunity to send 12 dedicated school garden educators to the Sprouts Growing School Gardens Summit in Phoenix, AZ — but we need your help to get them there!

These educators work in under-resourced communities across North Texas, where school gardens provide so much more than fresh veggies. Gardens become outdoor classrooms, healing spaces, science labs, and places of hope. But growing a thriving program takes training, support, and inspiration — and that’s exactly what this national conference offers.

Your sponsorship will help cover:

✈️ Roundtrip airfare

🏨 Hotel accommodations

🎟️ Full 3 day conference registration

This investment will directly impact thousands of students, as educators bring back new skills, curriculum, and strategies to grow equity, environmental literacy, and wellness in their schools.

Let’s break down the barriers to professional development and empower those who are cultivating real change — one garden at a time.

Will you help us plant the seeds of possibility by sponsoring a garden educator today?

Equity Statement

🌱 Our Commitment to Equity

At the NTx School Garden Network, equity is at the root of everything we grow. We believe every child—regardless of zip code, income, or background—deserves access to the joy, learning, and healing that a school garden can provide.

We recognize the systemic barriers that limit opportunities in under-resourced communities. That’s why we prioritize Title 1 schools and focus our efforts where the need is greatest. Through inclusive programming, culturally responsive support, and community-driven partnerships, we work to ensure that school gardens are accessible, empowering, and transformative for all students.

Since 2020, we’ve invested over 7,600 volunteer hours into building equity through garden-based education—and we’re just getting started.

Join us. With your support, we can continue planting seeds of justice, resilience, and opportunity—one school garden at a time.
