• 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men are affected by domestic violence in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
• In 2020, 96% of women, according to thehotline.org, reported emotional and verbal abuse, compared to 64.1% reporting some type of physical abuse. It is MORE than a black eye.
• Women return to their abuser 7-12 times before they finally leave.
• It takes 5-7 positives to make up for 1 negative.
• By the time you finish reading this page, 14 women will have called the national hotline, asking for help.

Domestic violence statistics are not for the faint of heart.

Hagar's Heart is proud to partner with 8 local domestic violence organizations in Collin, Dallas, Kaufman, and Tarrant counties. Each month we provide 150-200 "I See You" boxes for domestic violence clients who have entered the emergency shelter or are seeking services. 

This North Texas Giving Day, we need your help to:
