ABOUT US
Heart House Dallas is a non-profit organization committed to providing a nurturing and educational environment for refugee and immigrant children in the Dallas, Vickery Meadow neighborhood. In the 24 years that we have been in operation, we have dedicated ourselves to empowering these children with the tools and resources they need to succeed academically, emotionally, and socially all at no charge to our families through afterschool and summer care programs.
At Heart House, we believe that every child deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. We recognize the unique challenges faced by refugee and immigrant children and strive to create a safe space where they can find support, guidance, and a sense of belonging.

What We Do
We provide a wide range of educational resources, including tutoring, homework assistance, language development, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities.
Beyond academics, we place great importance on emotional well-being. We strongly encourage SEL, or social emotional learning, in our daily routines to help our students understand the power of being in control over their emotions. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers work tirelessly to create a nurturing environment where children can express themselves, build positive relationships, and develop crucial life skills.
