Hillel at SMU is a Jewish home away from home, a group for meaningful relationships, joyful Jewish celebrations, deep conversations, service, learning, and fun activities.
Under the leadership of our Executive Director, Rabbi Heidi Coretz, our Director of Jewish Student Life, Ali Vogel, our Student Board and our Advisory Board, Hillel at SMU is a thriving organization serving a population of five hundred Jewish students at SMU. Some regular programs we offer include Bagel Mondays, Shabbat dinners, Jewish holiday celebrations and the Jewish Learning Fellowship. Through our sacred work on campus, we endeavor to make a difference in the lives of our members as they strengthen the Jewish people and work to change the world.
With the financial support of our Advisory Board, and foundations and donors, as well as our parents, alumni, students and friends, we are proud to continue to build the growing Jewish community at SMU.
Your generosity is crucial to our success. It allows us to make all of our programs and services free to our students and to properly staff our organization. Through these gifts, we are able to provide a thriving campus Jewish community at SMU.

Mission
Through our sacred work on campus, Hillel at SMU endeavors to make a difference in the lives of our members as they strengthen the Jewish people and work to change the world.
Needs
This has been a hard year to be a Jewish student on campus. While SMU has been a much more welcoming campus than most, we had to make the decision to add an extra staff member this year to meet the needs of our growing membership. We must now turn to our supporters to help us fund this position, as well as the costs of added programs. We hope you will partner with us and give generously to provide robust programs and services, and caring, talented staff to nurture the Jewish community at SMU. Together, we will provide a vibrant, welcoming campus Jewish life for our students.
