In 2012, imPULSE Dance Project was founded on the belief that dance is more than movement—it’s a profound form of expression that can reshape the way we see the world. What began with a small Facebook call for dancers has blossomed into a thriving artistic community, offering a home for dancers in the Metroplex who are eager to push creative limits. Under the visionary direction of Anastasia Waters, imPULSE has transcended traditional boundaries, transforming performances into immersive, multi-dimensional experiences. With each project, community appearance, and festival performance, imPULSE not only showcases the power of dance but also invites audiences to engage, reflect, and be moved. In a region where the artist community often faces challenges, supporting imPULSE means investing in the future of dance, creativity, and the power of art to unite and uplift the DFW community.
In order to be successful long term in our mission to enrich the community with the art of modern dance, and push the boundaries of creativity the company has to raise funds for numerous expenses, including, but not limited to costumes (800+), sets and props ($1,000+), theater rental ($4,000+), theater stage technicians ($800+), dancer compensation for their work, travel fees ($3,000+), festival fees and administrative expenses ($500+).
imPULSE Dance Project desires to open the mind, eyes, and hearts of the public to viewing the art of Modern Dance.
We seek to create an inclusive environment, we value diverse identities and perspectives, and we work together to support the success of our teammates.
