Irving Cares provides a lifeline to Irving families experiencing a financial crisis. We meet Irving resident's needs through three programs:
- The Education and Employment Services program provides a pathway for men and women to find living wage jobs - which strengthens their finances and helps them become self-sufficient through education, job-skills training, and job certification programs.
- The Food Pantry provides a full week of nutritious food for every member of a family.
- The Emergency Assistance Program - provides rent or utility assistance for individuals or families living within Irving city limits.
Our Needs
Over 95% of the families served by Irving Cares are low-income. These families need help now more than ever due to inflation causing increased grocery, rent, and gasoline prices. Families are having a tougher time making ends meet.
Irving Cares relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and foundations to care for our vulnerable neighbors. Over 80% of our income is used to provide vital services to our neighbors in need. Your support of Irving Cares feeds hungry families, helps families stay in their homes with the power on, and provides education and job services for men and women to obtain living wage jobs to support their families.
