What we do:
We operate two transitional living homes in Collin County: Blake's House (for Women) and His House (for Men). Our transitional living homes serve young adults aged 18-25 who have aged out of foster care, or who are homeless and without critical supports. We provide a warm living environment, equip residents with life skills, foster educational and career advancement, and build a network of support around them through mentors and individual coaching.
Why we do it:
We are compelled by love: love of God and love of others. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and shown the love of Christ. We believe everyone deserves a chance at making a life that they are proud. We saw the gap that existed for homeless youth in Collin County, and felt compelled to stand in the gap.
How we do it:
Jim Riley Outreach seeks to address the underlying problems of homelessness, and not fix only the symptoms. We believe in reducing individual's poverty holistically: relationally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We do this by providing a warm living environment, equipping residents with life skills, fostering educational and career advancement, and building a network of support around them through mentors and individual coaching.
