Konnect to the Konnection will create relationships with like-minded community agencies, churches and prison outreach organizations that share the desire to truly serve the persons negatively impacted by the prison system. These entities will have a focus on the ills that plague targeted communities and prisons like drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, drop-out, unplanned pregnancy, and criminal engagement, just to name a few. Konnect to the Konnection strives to bridge the connection between the incarcerated community and their families by educating and empowering them towards resolution and reconciliation. Konnect To The Konnection will utilize proven curriculums to reconnect inmates and their immediate families back to one another and to the sole source that connects us all.
Konnect To The Konnection is committed to servicing the community while inspiring our youth through Bible living. This organization will serve as a positive link between the family members that feel abandoned and their imprisoned parents by helping each side connect back to their value through spiritual and cognitive learning.
Short Term Goals:
Obtain funding for the organization which will be used to support education, attend camps, feeding families, transportation and community resources.
Long Term Goals:
To get trained in and offer a proven curriculum that addresses the effects of being disconnected caused by incarceration with the ability to provide resource for inmates released from prison.
A well-equipped full-service gym. This will allow Konnect To The Konnection to have a location for basketball training, Jr. NBA camps and also where families and the youth in our program can connect by way of afterschool programs, summer programs, camps and weekly Bible living gathering.
