Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas has a long history of providing quality legal services that help change lives and open opportunities for low-income Texans. With offices in both urban and rural locations, Legal Aid provides broad-based civil legal help and advocacy to eligible individuals and families who would not otherwise have meaningful access to a lawyer. Every day, our lawyers and our pro bono attorney volunteers work to safeguard the rights and interests of clients, guided by the belief that justice is for all regardless of ability to pay.

Our Needs

Legal Aid's most critical need is for attorneys to address the legal challenges of those impacted by the pandemic and significant weather disasters. We continue to see an increase in requests for help with family violence, improper evictions, and earned benefit denials. And while we provide advice and counsel to those eligible for help, we do not have enough lawyers to accept every case or represent each deserving client. But you can help!

We always aim to meet the growing demand for services; with the support of community members like you, we can. Did you know that your $25 gift provides simple legal advice for one client? Or that $50 provides legal advice and help in completing complex forms? A $150 donation provides negotiation assistance to prevent a family from becoming homeless and $250 covers the cost of obtaining a protective order for a domestic violence survivor. This year, our NTXGD goal is for 100 people to make a donation to Legal Aid. Won't you help us help others by giving a gift on North Texas Giving Day?

All of us at Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas thank you for your support.
