WE ARE CHANGING THAT
Lemon Aide Society is a girls' leadership program where we empower girls to lead by mentoring them as they plan service projects in our community. In doing so, the girls will learn to lead as they learn more about their community, themselves, and what they are capable of achieving in the world around them.
We empower our girls through our innovative program of service, leadership, team-building and self growth. We run two programs - a monthly program and a weekly after-school program in underserved communities.

Mission
The Lemon Aide Society empowers girls to lead through service, laying the foundation for strong, confident female leadership for all our communities.
Needs
We are growing our Lemon Aide Society in the Schools program to include more schools in underserved areas of our community. It costs $5000 to run the program in one school. Most of the funds are for the teacher stipends.
* Program is provided free of charge to the girls and the school.
* Teachers who lead the program will receive a stipend
* In one year of participation in the program, girls are gaining in self-esteem, empathy skills, classroom participation, community awareness, and more!

Our mission is to empower girls to lead by mentoring them as they plan and execute service projects in their community. By virtue of our mission, it is the nature of our organization to be inclusive in terms of membership and leadership while also acknowledging that we all belong to different communities. We empower our Lemon Aides, our mentors, and our staff to find the passion for the issues that speak to them and to use their voice for good. We acknowledge that each person will define her community for herself. For us, it is the process of learning to lead and being empowered to lead that will allow our Lemon Aides to use their voices for good in the community that speaks to them.
