Lone Star Aussie Rescue

To date, we have rescued 340 Aussies in need. We have spayed or neutered 218 dogs who came to us intact to help cut down on the pet overpopulation. We have treated 28 dogs for Heartworms, completed, had 12 major orthopedic surgeries to help dogs walk again, and had 1 double cataract surgery to help a senior see again. We have helped rescue dogs from shelter that were out of time and out of space, taken in stray seniors (and all ages) found in horrible condition or abandoned, and assisted hundreds of owners seeking to rehome their Aussie.

Our Needs

Our most substantial expense is veterinary care. Donor dollars in any amount are greatly appreciated to help ensure all rescued Aussies receive the necessary care they need to give them the best possible quality of life, including:

1. Routine Vaccinations
2. Veterinary Exams
3. Spay/neuter procedures
4. Major Medical Treatments - Heartworm, Parvo, Senior Care
5. Orthopedic Surgeries (to repair hips, broken legs, fractures, etc.)
6. Microchipping
7. Additionally, our rescue would also benefit from the donation of a variety of supplies, such as:
   1. Dog collars/ leashes/ slip leads
   2. Easy Walk Harnesses
   3. Wire Crates (36")
   4. Chews (Himlayan/Antler/Benebones)
   5. Brushes (slicker brush/undercoat rake)
   6. Toys (play/puzzles/chew)
   7. Microchips
   8. Bedding (crate mats, beds, etc.)
   9. Slow feed/ no gulp feeding bowls
