$15,000 Goal

DC3 seeks funding to provide nutritious perishable and non-perishable food to serve senior adults, children, and individuals/families experiencing food insecurity. Included is the distribution of hygiene products, diapers, and other items. The increased cost of food and other products due to inflation has created a greater need for families needing assistance with necessities. The request also includes family stability support services of housing, utility assistance, and covering emergency shelters and hotels for individuals in DeSoto needing a stable place for housing.

DC3 is committed to serving the community through its efforts throughout the year. During the holiday season, DC3 hosts its annual Bless DeSoto event which partners with local apartment complexes to provide Thanksgiving meal boxes for all families, averaging over 5,000 families each November. It also partners with DeSoto ISD and the local fire department to provide toys for the foster children living in DeSoto.
