The mission of the Martha Turner Reilly PTA is to positively impact the children, families, staff and neighbors that reside within the Reilly Community. We show support and advocacy throughout the year by providing funding for enhanced learning opportunities, organizing social gatherings to build a sense of community within the Reilly family, and showing appreciation to teachers and staff. In recent years, the Reilly PTA has purchased new computers for the computer lab, bottle filler water stations to encourage more sanitary drinking access, and picnic tables for outdoor learning and events.

The Reilly PTA could not do this without the continued financial and emotional support from its community. This partnership is what allows us to create a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment so that our students can excel socially, emotionally, and academically. We look forward to making an even greater impact at Reilly with your support!

Mission

Martha Turner Reilly Elementary Parent Teacher Association's mission is to positively impact all children and families within the Reilly Community. We support and advocate for our children by partnering with the families, staff, and wider community to create a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment which allows our students to excel socially, emotionally, and academically.

Needs

We are so excited that Reilly Elementary has been selected to be part of the 2020 Dallas ISD bond, and as such will be completely replaced with a new school on the same site. Therefore, our current needs are focused on advancing student learning in lieu of updating school infrastructure.

Our goal is to ensure that any donation made today will impact students even after the new school is constructed.

The Reilly PTA is continuing our focus on Field Trip options, with the goal that EVERY GRADE LEVEL MAY PARTICIPATE IN AT LEAST (1) FIELD TRIP PER SEMESTER.

This year, we have big plans to have more on site Field Trip options and family outreach after hours. The Reilly PTA would also love to contribute to any specific learning tool purchases in preparation for and for use after the Field Trip, so that students can have a wholistic and lasting experience.

Although some organizations do not charge a fee, many do. Funds provided for NTX Giving Day can help cover the cost for these fees, as well as any necessary travel costs, and lunch accommodations.

Equity Statement

The Reilly PTA actively supports both the Dallas ISD and Texas PTA equity policies with a goal to advance educational equity within the Reilly Community. Both policies are detailed further below.

From the Dallas ISD website:

Our mission is to eliminate systemic disparities and ensure equity so all students regardless of race, have the opportunity to graduate equipped to compete in a society and world that is racially and culturally diverse.

From the Texas PTA website:

- Promote awareness, inclusion and engagement of all diverse populations represented in the community and to encourage all;

- Openly assess beliefs and practices to ensure inclusiveness, equity, and to guard against discrimination;

- Strive to ensure that the membership, leadership, programs, partnerships, and printed materials across Texas reflect the diversity of their communities;

- Communicate with families in their communities in languages which they understand, to the extent possible;

- Identify and address barriers that hinder inclusivity;

- Foster programs and practices that eliminate bias, prejudice and misunderstanding;

- Advocate for funding, laws, and regulations that support programs, policies, and services that meet the health, safety, and educational needs of all student populations in Texas public schools; and
