Mater Filius is a non-profit organization that offers provisional residence to pregnant women who find themselves without any other means of support. At Mater Filius, the new moms don’t feel alone anymore. They find security and the dignity any expectant mother deserves. Because of the access to care and services, they can enjoy their pregnancy in a warm and inclusive environment.
Together they discover the rewards of motherhood, and come to realize that each of these babies is truly a gift from God. Mater Filius has two homes located in East Plano. We thank God each day for the generosity of our volunteers, house mothers, mentors and financial donors.
Mater Filius opened 7 years ago and since then we have helped 79 moms to have their babies.
Mater Filius of Dallas is a volunteer driven organization. Your donations will go directly to support the mothers and babies living at the house. Administration is operated by professionals who work pro bono. Their involvement allow us to keep a low operating budget.
