MCHS offers our families an authentic AMI Montessori education. Honoring this holistic, inviting, informed approach to learning, we dedicate our efforts to focus on what is best for each child. Our purpose - reverence for a wholesome, peaceful, safe childhood for all - drive our respectful interactions, and considerate decisions.
We need your help to continue guiding young children to be confident, competent, and capable individuals.
You may know that small non-profit 501(c)(3) private schools like ours do not receive any national, state, or city funding that public schools are given from tax dollars. We rely on fundraising to cover operational costs. Enjoying our large 3.5-acre wooded expanse in the heart of Lake Highlands and a small, tight-knit community does not just happen! Your generous gift contributes to salaries, Montessori materials, NEW programs, Professional Development / Continuing Education for our faculty and staff, regular facility maintenance, as well as necessary repairs and upgrades.
Maintaining the high standards we have set and held for 54 years takes all of us! We count on funding from friends like you. We sincerely appreciate whatever financial support you can provide to help us continue our mission.
Mission
MCHS is dedicated to providing quality Montessori education to children ages 3 to 6 years of age, when children are naturally enabled with the capacity to make substantial leaps in their academic, cognitive, and social development.
Needs
Last year MCHS raised $7,000 through NTxGD for much-needed new playground equipment. The set was ordered and is being prepared for shipment and installation this fall! Stay tuned for ribbon-cutting pictures! Thanks to supporters like you, our children are very excited to enjoy outdoor playtime to its fullest potential!
MCHS is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit educational facility. It is incorporated as a separate entity and is not owned by any individual. A Board of Directors comprised entirely of dedicated volunteers is responsible for its governance and for overseeing the mission of the school--which is to provide the best possible Montessori education to our students.
MCHS operates without funding from city, state, or federal government entities. All of the contributions made to MCHS benefit our students.
