The mission of Mighty Is Her Call is to encourage mothers in the daily practice of self-giving - the path to sainthood - as they pour out their lives for their children. Our in-person retreats are where this mission first took root and where we continue to have a powerful impact on the lives of mothers.
Our passion is to share with as many women as possible, the message that their vocation as Catholic Mothers is uniquely Christ-like and a beautiful path to sainthood. The most powerful way we can do this is through our in-person retreats. We have thought through every detail of the day, to facilitate a beautiful time of rest and replenishment, all centered around the Sacraments.
Your generosity last year allowed us to sponsor a North Texas retreat, which was a beautiful success. This year we are focused on subsidizing another North Texas retreat, making it affordable for every mother to be able to experience this beautiful day of encouragement and rejuvenation.
With a campaign goal of $3,500 your giving will help us to bring this Mighty Is Her Call retreat to North Texas at a low cost. This will ensure that mother’s in our local community can experience this day of rest and sacramental grace at an affordable price. Although our fundraising goal is $3,500, any money raised over this amount will go directly to our scholarship fund to help mothers who need assistance with registration.
Here are just a few examples of what real moms are saying about a Mighty Is Her Call retreat:
This retreat experience has been wonderful. Just knowing I'm not alone in the journey of life and all that goes with it. To know that being a mother is a gift and surrendering to all that goes with it was a "Red Sea" moment of feeling worthy and a sense of validation. —Anonymous (North Dakota)
In truth, I was unsure whether I wanted to attend this retreat, because my family life is so troubled and I did not want to come be with a bunch of perfect Catholic mothers who have it all together. So, I really appreciated how real the speakers were, being so vulnerable, and showing us how God can work through our brokenness. —Anonymous (Minnesota)
Why should you give?
Katie, a generous North Texas Giving Day 2023 donor, explains why she gives:
I am very passionate about this ministry’s message, which calls for mothers to live their vocation the way the Church is calling us and the way we are meant to live our vocation. I don't know of another organization that is trying to support the genuine call to motherhood, especially in a time when motherhood, femininity, and the family is under such an attack.
We want to bring a retreat to a local parish in North Texas YOUR GIFT will allow us to do that. Come be a part of what the Lord is doing and help us ensure that every Catholic mother discovers the joy in her call to sainthood!
Give TODAY and send a mom in need on a retreat!
Mighty Is Her Call is a Catholic mothers' ministry that encourages women who have embraced the call to openness to life by proclaiming the radically Christ-like nature of motherhood. We do this through:
