North Texas Dance Arts Conservatory is a daytime academy that offers first-rate dance training and academic support for non-traditional students, offering part-time and full-time programs in order to serve a variety of students. We are a nonprofit organization, established to provide training in a variety of movement practices, create opportunities for exploration and self-expression, and emphasize excellence in education.

Co-founders Emily Hunter and Rachel Wade created NTDAA in 2021 with a vision of giving non-traditional students the support they need to thrive in both their academics and their art while maintaining balance and a healthy outlook. Our faculty believes in raising an accountable dance culture, considering each student's needs from a variety of perspectives. Paramount to this is maintaining small class sizes to promote individual attention and mentorship for each student. Our daytime schedule allows homeschool students the opportunity to supplement their academic curriculum with high-caliber Fine Arts dance training in an approachable and supportive environment. Our Conservatory Program students have this same dance training but are also given time and space on campus to complete their academics through an online accredited school program. Additionally, they have access to an on-site Texas Education Agency certified Academic Mentor to provide any support they may need with their online learning, and they are assigned a faculty mentor to help guide them through the year with a focus on personal goal setting and developing strategies to accomplish these goals.

NTDA dance classes place great emphasis on using healthful dance practices, efficiency of movement, and injury prevention to promote longevity of health in our students' dance careers and lives. The faculty is committed to delivering age and ability appropriate instruction, training students safely and effectively to ensure they are well-prepared for future success.

Mission

Raising an accountable dance culture.
