Oak Lawn United Methodist Church (OLUMC) is committed to creating a transformative, inclusive Christian community in the heart of Dallas. We open our doors to individuals from all walks of life, with a focus on justice and full inclusion, especially for marginalized groups. Through our outreach program, Dallas Responds Unsheltered Neighbor Ministry and the Migrant Welcome Center, we provide essentials such as meals, clothing, shelter, and support to asylum seekers and unsheltered neighbors.

We invite you to join us in making a difference for our community and the world. Your contribution helps continue our mission to spread love, compassion, and hope. With your support, we can inspire lasting change.

Equity Statement

At Oak Lawn United Methodist Church (OLUMC), we are committed to advancing equity, justice, and full inclusion in every aspect of our mission. As a Reconciling Congregation, we strive to create a community where all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, or background, feel welcomed, valued, and empowered.

We recognize that systemic barriers disproportionately impact marginalized groups, particularly the unsheltered and asylum seekers we serve. Our outreach programs are designed to address these inequities by providing essential resources, support, and opportunities for those most in need. We believe that equity is not just a principle but a practice, one that requires ongoing reflection, advocacy, and action.

By fostering a culture of inclusivity and compassion, we aim to create pathways for all individuals to thrive and contribute to the well-being of our community. Your partnership in this mission allows us to continue building a just and equitable world, where every person has the opportunity to flourish. Together, we can be a force for positive, transformative change.
