Out Teach is a national non-profit organization driven by a powerful vision of education that is not just about the present, but about the future—a future where every child, regardless of their background, is equipped to become the innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers our world so urgently needs.  We help teachers in schools across the country transform the outdoors into active learning labs that unlock the wonder of science for students.

Mission

Out Teach is on a mission to inspire and prepare today’s elementary students to become the next generation of fearless innovators and leaders. Our model - designed by teachers, for teachers - equips elementary educators in underserved schools with the coaching, resources, and ongoing support to bring science to life for their students, ultimately inspiring new ideas, pursuits, and pathways to equity. We’re building a future where every student experiences teaching and learning in a way that forever prepares them to move through the world undaunted by challenges and passionate about new possibilities.

Your gift to Out Teach helps us inspire a generation of diverse leaders ready to step into critical STEM jobs and tackle the problems of the future.

Needs

This North Texas Giving Day, we’re announcing a new initiative that could transform what’s possible for children in North Texas, and we need your help to raise $15,000 to make it a reality. We know how powerful outdoor learning can be in inspiring young minds. But keeping outdoor spaces—especially school gardens—vibrant and flourishing isn’t always easy. Too often, the future of these gardens depends on a passionate teacher or volunteer who doesn’t have the resources or support they need.

That’s why we’re launching a new program to help ensure outdoor learning spaces thrive. Starting right here in North Texas, we’ll work closely with schools to develop sustainability plans, provide hands-on support, and create a community of practice that keeps these gardens growing for years to come. This Giving Day, your donation will help us jumpstart this critical initiative.

Equity Statement

Out Teach is built on the fact that new and different experiences add knowledge and perspectives that help everyone grow and succeed. We embrace diversity, equity, and inclusive practices not only because they are morally important, but also because these efforts strengthen our organization so that we may better serve our partners and move them toward their goals. The ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion guide our staffing, partnerships, and strategic decisions every day. It is the way we are meant to be: Ourselves, Fair, and Present.
