Pajamas for Seniors was born in 2013, when nurse Jo Alch noticed a disturbing trend among her elderly patients: many in nursing homes had nothing to wear but their old, worn hospital gowns. She immediately started a charity with the goal of giving away new pajamas to needy seniors each Christmas. The program was such a success, she began distributing pajamas in July as well. Now her nonprofit provides new pajamas to low-income seniors 12 months a year. With your help, we can distribute even more new pajamas. Please join us as we continue to share the blessing!

Our senior population is growing and our seniors are experiencing more loneliness and isolation than ever before. 60% of nursing home residents have no living relatives. Many seniors have few if any visitors. Nursing facilities often care for homeless seniors who are admitted without any belongings. With roughly $2 a day allocated for basic necessities, new pajamas are unattainable. We have made it our goal to bring this most basic comfort and support to those seniors within our reach.
We hope to bless senior adults in Texas by gifting our recipients throughout the year as a demonstration of our gratitude and respect.
