Every year over 30,000 American children lose a parent to suicide and tragically, those kids are THREE TIMES MORE LIKELY to die by suicide themselves. The journey to healing can only begin when we’re given a glimmer of hope. In a world that’s unaware of the lasting impact of suicide trauma, Project Unbroken transforms personal tragedy into collective good through actionable help for families impacted by suicide.

The journey of recovery and healing from this trauma is complicated and complex. Project Unbroken provides financial, emotional and spiritual resources to those in need. #WeAreUnbroken #TraumaToTriumph

Mission

End the generational cycle of suicide by giving those affected by it the hope to heal through financial, emotional and spiritual resources.

Needs

We hope to keep children active and engaged in the activities they love, from sports to arts and education, building a sense of community and routine. When a parent is lost to suicide, so often there is financial stress that makes staying in these actives impossible. This is important as it is proven that being active in communities and activities reduces the rates of depression and anxiety in children and builds confidence and resilience.

The families we serve are in need for funding for their extracurricular activities - from equipment for sports or music, to registration and training fees to travel funds.

We seek financial donations primarily but also welcome in-kind donations for specific needs (ie. sporting goods store gift cards, sports equipment, music equipment, etc).

Equity Statement

At Project Unbroken we believe that achieving equity is a continuous journey that requires dedication, intentionality and collaboration. We are committed to this work because we know that when everyone has the opportunity to succeed, our entire community benefits.
