Mission
This Corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes
that fall within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. The
purposes of the corporation include all those activities, work, and objectives as related to the advocacy,
welfare, rescue, protection, fostering, rehabilitation, treatment, and adoption of homeless, abandoned, lost,
stray, abused, neglected, sick, injured and/or unwanted animals and include but are not limited to the
following primary purposes:
(1.) To provide rescue, protection, shelter, compassion, foster care, rehabilitation, veterinary care and
adoption of homeless, stray, abused, neglected, sick, injured, and/or unwanted dogs and cats as means
may permit, and within animal care and control laws as dictated by the State of Texas, and the City of
Fort Worth Animal Care and Control codes.
(2.) To build, operate and/or maintain a shelter, home, office, clinic, or other facilities for rescued
animals.
(3.) To seek public and private donations, foster families or persons and volunteers in order to provide all
the services required as relates to the operation of an animal rescue/adoption service or other facility and
to further the purposes of the organization.
(4.) To organize fund raising events, programs, or other efforts and activities which provide for the
operation of a comprehensive animal shelter, adoption, and rescue service.
(5.) To aid in the management and administration of care, treatment, and rehabilitation of homeless,
abandoned, lost, stray, abused, and/or neglected animals. To properly screen potential adopters, fosters
and/or rescuers in order to find qualified individuals and good homes for animals in need of adoption,
foster, and/or rescue.
(6.) To educate the general public on responsible pet ownership and information on how to care for their
pets, and by providing emergency, preventative and palliative medical care, low-cost vaccinations, low-
cost spay/neuter, and other low-cost services.
(7.) To educate the general public about the benefits of Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR), to
reduce feral feline over-population and subsequent suffering within feral cat communities, and to actively
assist the general public with TNVR efforts.
(8.) To reduce end-of-life suffering and improve the overall quality of life within feral cat communities
by consistently testing for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV),
and humanely euthanizing positive felines over the age of 6 months, if no other satisfactory solution for
ongoing care of the animal can be found.
(9.) To collaborate with, provide support and assistance to other humane non-profit animal rescues in
good standing with the State of Texas and the IRS, as means may allow.
(10.) Assist animal owners wishing to surrender their animals, by referring owners to existing, local
animal rescues in good standing with the State of Texas and the IRS, as an alternative to placing their
animal in a public shelter or animal control facility.
